Welcome to the pages where I get to share a little about myself with you. Sometimes the children are so excited to find out that I leave school and have a life outside of school. They are shocked that I shop for groceries, have a home, and do fun things too!

First of all, I have been teaching Kindergarten for 15 years. I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have a Masters Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University.I absolutely LOVE teaching this age group. Children who are five and six years old have such an enthusiasm about learning. I love to see their faces light up when they begin to read also. They keep me on my toes too as they have endless energy!!

I have been married for 12 years. We have an 11 year old son, Chandler. He will be starting middle school this year. He loves to come to school with me and meet all my "school friends." My students throughout the years grow very fond of having Chandler around and vice versa. I am always sharing "Chandler stories" with them - and they love hearing them.
